Rescue 2 with 8 (Safety Ed) was dispatched to a 3 car accident. Special Unit 2 as Fire Police (FP D Darkes) also responded. Crews did basic vehicle ops.
Rescue 2 (Safety Ed ) with 6 responded to an accident on Horseshoe Pike. Crews did basic vehicle ops. Special Unit 2 (FP D Darkes) responded for traffic control.
Training this evening was advancing hose lines up stairways. The crew watched videos and then went out to practice.
Engine 2 with 5 (FF Osborne) were called to transfer to Highspire while they were assisting Middletown. with a structure fire. Engine returned an hour and a half later.
Engine 2 with 5 (Safety Ed) assisted Station 3 (Lawn) with a wildfire. crews assisted Lancaster Engine 272 pulling lines and used water extinguishers. Engine was out 50 minutes.
Engine 2 with 6 (Deputy 2 Br Sell) and Tanker 2 with 2 (FF Valentin) responded to assist Lawn (3) with a structure fire, in the chimney. E2 arrived and assisted with roof and basement operations. T2 staged. Crews were in service a little over 2 hours.
During training this evening Rescue 2 with 8 (Chief B Sell) was called to an accident. Dep 2 (Br Sell) went directly to the scene. Crews did basic vehicle ops and returned to training.
Training this evening started by watching videos on hose line management and pulling the triple hose load in a tight area. The crew then practiced pulling hose. Station 2 was dispatched to a brush fire on Schoolhouse road. Engine 2 with 6 (Safety Ed) responded and was given the assignment from Chief 2 (B Sell) to pull a line to an area about 20 feet by 40 feet. E2 returned a short time later.
This evening before monthly business meeting the 2 Crew went to a home that had burned in Campbelltown. The crew was able to look at building construction, balloon structure and burn pattern. Good learning experience for the crew.
Rescue 2 with 4 (FF Valentin), Su 2 with 2 (Safety Ed) with ATV 2 were dispatched to assist Station 3 (Lawn) with an off road medical. Patients were able to get out of the area by themselves.
Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company has put into service a Bobcat 3400 UTV. This will be known as ATV-2 by Lebanon County Dispatch. ATV - 2 is capable to handle off road fire and medical emergencies. This was made possible in part, by a generous business donation.
Station 2 was dispatched to an inside investigation and upgraded to a structure fire. Engine 2 with 6 (Chief 2 B Sell) arrived to find smoke from the front door. E2 laid 5 " in and pulled a 200 ft handline as another crew forced the door and entered with a PW. Fire was in the laundry room and E2 crew had a quick knockdown. Extensive overhaul was done. Mutual aid from Palmyra (1), Lawn (3), Annville Cleona (58), Elizabethtown (L74), and Hershey (D48) assisted with operations and checking the adjoining condos. Rescue 2 with 3 (FF Schaeffer) Tanker 2 with 2 (FF Miller) and Special Unit (FF A Barnes) also responded. Great stop by first in crews.
