From Gas Leak To Structure Fire Within Minutes
August 27th

13:13 hours Co# 2 was dispatched to the rear of 2838 Horseshoe Pike for an investigation of gas inside the structure. As Chief 2 signed on the air County advised of the incident now being a fully involved structure fire. Chief 2 a.o.s with a working fire caused by a gas line that was struck. Engine 2 arrived on scene under the Command of Assist 2 (Jeff Henry) Engine 2 laid in from West market Street & Horseshoe Pike. Crew pulled three 1 3/4 hand line s and attacked the fire with out extinguishing the burning gas line. Crews held the fire to 1 trailer. Crews did a great JOB!. UGI turn off the gas and crews extinguished the remaining fire. Box was placed in service at 19:07 Hours.
