Tanker/Blitz fire Ops
April 30th
This evening Co#2 members were training on drafting and setting up dump tank operations. Crews also went over the Blitz fire set up.
Co#48 Shed Fire
April 28th
09:48 hours Tanker 2 was dispatched to assist Dauphin County Co#48 (Hershey) with a working shed fire in the 4100 Block of Roundtop Road. Tanker 2 arrived on scene and supplied Engine 48-1 with a 5" supply line. Tanker 2 supplied about 1,000 gallons of water. Tanker 2 was back in quarters at 10:50 hours.
Co#1 Entrapment
April 24th
13:13 hour Co#2 was dispatched to assist Co#1 (Palmyra) with an accident with entrapment in the 200 Block East Maple Street in Palmyra. Rescue 2 under command of Assist 2 (Jeff Henry) a.o.s and assisted in removing the roof. Crews then assisted with patient removal. Co#2 was back in quarters at 13:51 hours. Structure Fire
April 20th
18:30 Hours Co#2 was dispatched for a working trailer fire at Lot 60 in Palm City Trailer Park, Chief 2 arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the rear of the structure with all occupants out. Engine 2 arrived on scene with the assignment to attack the fire and protect the propane tanks on side c of the structure. Tanker 2 pulled in right behind Engine 2 and supplied them with a 5" line, Tanker 2-1 backed into the rear of Truck 1 and supplied Tanker 2 a 3" supply line if needed. Rescue 2 staged on Third Avenue and sent man power to the scene.
Crews did an excellent job of saving the contents inside. Great job by everyone on scene to hold the fire to the rear of the trailer.
Bingo
April 13th
This evening members were busy as the community came out to support the firehouse. It was a packed house as guest enjoyed a few good rounds of bingo. Thanks you to everyone for your dedication to making this another successful event.
Wild Fire
April 13th
18:54 Hours Co#2 was dispatched for a wild fire at 400 Bowman Lane. Chief 2 arrived on scene, to find out the call couldn't be accessed from Bowman Lane, Engine 2 and Tanker 2 were already committed to Bowman Lane. Chief 2 called Tanker 2-1 and Attack 3 and had them go to the Weaber Development.
Call turned out to be in the Weaber Development on Humming Bird Way, Tanker 2-1 and Attack 3 extinguished hot spots. Area was about 30x30.
Co#2 was back in quarters at 19:51 hours.
Co#39 Structure Fire
April 13th
16:13 Hours Tanker 2 was dispatched to assist Dauphin Co#39 (Grantville) with a working structure fire on Austin Drive. Tanker 2 arrived on scene and supplied Tanker 39 with a 5" supply line. We were then released and returned to quarters. Tanker 2 was out till 18:49 hours.
Co#48 Structure Fire
April 11th
08:44 hours Co#2 was dispatched to assist Dauphin County Co#48 (Hershey) with smoke in a structure at 424 Nye Road. Command 48 arrived on scene to find smoke in the structure and soon after a 2nd alarm assignment was dispatched for a working structure fire.
Tanker 2 arrived on scene and supplied Engine 48 with a 5" supply line and Chief 2 (B Jurell) went interior to assist with fire attack.
Rescue 2 arrived on scene, under command of firefighter B Hoke and assisted with interior fire attack.
Crews assisted in salvage/overhaul operation and assisted the Truck crew in closing up some holes on the roof.
Co#2 units were in quarters at 12:04 hours. More pics on Hershey Fire
Co#3 Mva
April 9th
21:12 hours Co#2 was dispatched to assist Co#3 (Lawn) with a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Rescue 2 arrived on scene under command of Capt 2 (T Haak). Crews assisted Lawn with stabilization and patient packaging. We also DC' d the battery. We were then released and returned to quarters. Co#2 was out till 22:00 hrs. More pics on Lawn Fire
Assist Co#1
April 8th
22:36 hours Co#2 was dispatched to assist Co#1 (Palmyra) with a working structure fire. Engine 2 & Chief 2 were assigned to assist Wagon 1 crew with fire attack, we set up our blitz fire on side D of the building to protect Johns Flooring. Rescue 2 crew assisted in pulling hand lines and hooking up the hydrant. Tanker 2 and Tanker 2-1 hauled water from North side school. Easter Bunny
April 7th
Today from 11:00 till 01:00 local children were out at the firehouse to meet the Easter Bunny. The children had lots of fun and candy to remember the day with. Thanks to everyone for helping out.
Flower Sale
April 7th
Today Co#2 was sold out of flowers at 12:00. The flower sale went from April 5th to today. Thank you to everyone who came out and showed your support to the firehouse. A Special Thanks to the crew for making this another successful event.
Assist Co#1
April 5th
21:31 hours Co#2 was dispatched to assist Co#1 (Palmyra) with a possible structure fire on North Railroad St. Engine 2 a.o.s and staged at the hydrant with manpower assisting investigating inside. Crews were out till 22:26 hours.
Vehicle Fire then To Crash
April 2nd
10:17 hrs Tanker 2 was dispatched to assist Co#5 (Annville) with a reported vehicle fire on route 934. While enroute the tanker was cancelled and diverted to a serious crash with ejection on Rt 422 and Clearsprings Road to set up a landing zone for lifelion. Tanker 2 a.o.s and ems tranported the patient via ground. Tanker 2 was in quarters at 10:47 hours.
Fire Prevention
April 2nd
Today members were busy with the Fire Prevention program for a group of individuals. There were about 20 kids and 6 adults. Crews provided a video, dressed up a fire man and left them check out all the equipment. The kids were provided hand outs and fire helmets at the end of the program.
