From Gas Leak To Structure Fire Within Minutes
August 28th
13:13 hours Co# 2 was dispatched to the rear of 2838 Horseshoe Pike for an investigation of gas inside the structure. As Chief 2 signed on the air County advised of the incident now being a fully involved structure fire. Chief 2 a.o.s with a working fire caused by a gas line that was struck.

Water Soccer
August 27th
This Evening members from Co#2 and Co#3 (Lawn) participated in the annual summer event of water soccer. Crews had a great time.

Control Burn
August 23rd
11:34 hours Co# 2 was dispatched per the Police Department for a control burn at 150 Bell Road. Engine 2 officer was Assist 2-1 (William Rhoads).
Turns out the resident was burning building materials, we also brought in a Track hoe to help rip the pile apart for extinguishment. Box was placed in service at 14:53 hours.

Lancaster Co#7-4 Working Fire
August 16th
12:27 hours Tanker 2 was dispatched for a working barn fire at 178 Milton Grove Road, to assist Lancaster 7-4 (Elizabethtown). Tanker 2 arrived on scene on the Command of Chief 2 (B jurell), dropped the dump tank and hauled water. We were released at 15:10 hours.

Co#1 Attic Fire
August 11th
16:29 hours Co#2 was dispatched to assist Co#1 (Palmyra) with an attic fire at 406 South Lincoln Street in Palmyra.
Engine 2 officer was Captain 2 (T Haak) a.o.s and pulled an 1 3/4 " hand line to the attic to attack the fire, Rescue 2 staged on Pine Street, man power to the scene. Crews assisted in PPV operations and salvage and overhaul. Box in service at 18:23.

Transfer To Neversink
August 8th
17:37 hours Co#2 was dispatched to transfer to Neversink Fire Company for Standby, Engine 2 officer was LT 2-1 (B Sell). Engine 2 was in quarters at 18:29 hours. No calls ran during the standby

Possible Structure At Bank
August 7th
15:03 hours Co#2 was dispatched for a possible structure fire at 903 East Main Street in Palmyra, Commerce Bank.
Engine 2 under command of Chief 2 (B Jurell) a.o.s and laid in from the hydrant at Duke & Main, the line then went to Engine 1-1. Man power assisted interior with investigation. Rescue 2 staged to the rear of the Bank and sent man power to Engine 1-1. Crews set up PPV at the front door and assisted with removing some ceiling tiles. Box was placed in service at 16:33 hours.

Double Entrapment and Ejection
August 2nd
11:02 hours Co#2 was dispatched to assist Dauphin County Co#48 (Hershey) with an accident with double entrapment and ejection at RT.743 & Ridge Road.
Chief 2 arrived on scene and met with Chief 48-2 (R.Knapp) for our assignment. Rescue 2 under command of LT 2-1 (Barry Sell) assisted Engine 48-3 with the black car in removing the roof and doing a 3 door swing away.
Chief 2 assisted Rescue 48 crew with the red car on it roof Crews removed the driver side doors and removed the patient.
After everything was cleaned up command 48 released us. Back in quarters at 12:42 hours.
Crews did a great JOB!!

Engine Company Transfer
August 4th
17:36 hours Co#2 was dispatched for Engine 2 to standby in Lancaster County Sta 2-12 (Mastersonville). Engine 2 arrived on scene under command of Brian Hoke. Company 2-12 released us at 02:28 hours with no calls ran.

Accident with Possible Entrapment
August 3rd
15:38 hours Co#2 was dispatched an accident with possible entrapment at RT.322 & RT.117 Chief 2 a.o.s to find a single vehicle accident, car in a ditch with negative entrapment in the area of Risser's Farm Market. Chief 2 set up Horseshoe Pike command.
Rescue 2 arrived on scene and assisted in patient care and spill control. Engine 2-1 arrived on scene and staged in Risser's parking lot, held man power. Fire Police held traffic control. Box in service at 16:09 hours

Co#48 Working Fire
August 2nd
19:36 hours Co#2 was dispatched to assist Dauphin County Co#48 (Hershey) for a working structure fire at 2646 Governor Road.
Tanker 2 arrived on scene under command of LT 2-1 (Barry Sell) and supplied Engine 48-1 with a 5" supply line. Co#2 supplied about 6,000 gallons of water. Engine 2 arrived on scene under the command of Ed Houser and assist Engine 48-1 with interior attack. Rescue 2 arrived on scene and stage man power to the front of Engine 48-1. Back in quarters at 23:08 hour.

Brush fire on the Pike
August 1st
14:07 hours Co#2 was dispatched for a brush fire on the PA. Turnpike at mile marker 258.8 East Bound
Rescue 2 under command of Assist Chief 2-1 (Bill Rhoads) arrived on scene first. Command was set up as Turnpike Command by Assist 2-1.
Tanker 2 arrived on scene under command of Chief 2 (Bill Jurell) and pulled a 200ft 1 3/4" hand line and put out the fire. Area burnt was about 1/10 of a acre. Tanker 2 used 500 gallons of water. Co#2 was back in quarters at 14:59 hours
