FIRE COMMISSION
Recently South Londonderry Township appointed a very special committee on behalf of the fire companies and the citizens. For the first time we have a Fire Commission committee. Officers representing South Londonderry Township, Campbelltown and Lawn Fire Companies and the citizens of Campbelltown have joined together in the common good to serve on the Fire Service Commmission.
This commission was created to address current and future needs of the volunteer firefighters providing services to South Londonderry Township.
This committee has been faced with the awesome task of analyzing all that is encompased in the provision of fire services. This will include recruitment activities, retention services, capital purchases made on behalf of each company as well as special recognition programs and financial advice.
This commission will assist in requesting questing assistance as needed from other individuals or organizations. Depending upon the needs that are also responsible for recommendations for improving the operation of the fire services to South Londonderry Township and surrounding communities.
We are proud to have such a collection of experience to help to serve us and the citizens of South Londonderry Township.
