Rescue 2 and Engine 2-1 were dispatched on 06/25/08 at 15:59 to respond to South Londonderry Township, in front of 2425 Horseshoe Pike, for a vehicle accident with confinement. Rescue 2 was the first fire unit to arrived and found a two vehicle accident. All patients were out of the vehicle. Crews assisted with securing the scene, patient care, disconnecting batteries and cleaning up. Units were placed back in service at 16:24 without incident.

Engine and Tanker 2 were dispatched on 06/16/08 at 05:15 to respond mutual aid to West Cornwall Township, 40 Boulevard Ave., The Hideaway Restaurant, to assist Station 38 (Mt Gretna) with a working structure fire. Both units went to the staging area where their crews were assigned to overhaul. Once overhaul was complete, our crews helped repack the 5 inch on Engine 37 and they returned to quarters without incident.

Engine and Rescue 2 were dispatched on 06/09/08 at 14:03 to respond mutual aid to Palmyra Borough, 103 W. Main St. for a structure fire. Engine 2 arrived on scene and the crew hooked Wagon 1 in a hydrant and stretched a dry line to the second floor of the fire building. Our other crews disabled the power to the building and opened up the involved wall to check for extension.

Station 2 takes great pride in being active in the community. On June 7th, the Rescue truck was taken to, and displayed at, a charity art show with proceeds benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network.

On the morning of June 7th, in a display of their appreciation, Twin Oaks Retirement Community invited the members from Station 2 over for a breakfast and presented us with a plaque. A good time was had by all and we are very thankful we have so many great businesses in our area such as theirs.
