WANTED YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN 14 OR OLDER TO VOLUNTEER AS JUNIOR FIREFIGHTERS
Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company is proud to be an all-volunteer company since 1926.
In June of 2000 Campbelltown initiated a junior firefighter program in an effort to familiarize young men and women who have an interest in the fire service.
Being a Junior Firefighter is a rewarding experience and skills are learned in firefighting and emergency medical care.
After learning a minimum number of skills, juniors are expected to respond to emergency calls, while under the supervision of senior firefighters.
A junior firefighter is able to use his or her skills to free up a senior firefighter, allowing them to perform more critical tasks.
Our juniors learn through proper training and “on the job training”.
In order to be a junior firefighter you need to be a self-starter and be willing to put in the physical and mental abilities necessary to learn more.
As our juniors advance in their training they are awarded with increasing levels of responsibility and opportunities.
To be a junior firefighter, you must be at least 14 years old and live in South Londonderry Township.
You must be able to follow directions under emergency conditions and should be in good physical condition.
If you feel you have the RIGHT STUFF to be a junior firefighter you can attend drills at our fire hall starting at 6:30 PM every Monday night.
If you would like more information or to just talk to someone about the program call 717-838-3707 and leave a message for our chief.
We look forward to your participation in our Junior program.
