AFA in Co#1 First Due

June 29th
11:49 hours Engine 2 was dispatched to assist Co#1 (Palmyra) with an auto alarm at 1200 Grubb Road. Engine 2 arrived on scene under the Command of Assist 2-1, Crews assisted in searching the building for a bad detector. Crews found the bad detector in the attic, we removed the detector and the box was placed in service at 12:33 hours.

It's A Girl
June 29th
Congratulations to Firefighters Nick Keller and Wife Kami Keller on the birth of their new born baby girl Cassandra Hope Keller. Mother and Baby are doing great.

Nite at Night
 
June 29th
Chief 2, Tanker 2 and Rescue 2 were out at Grace Brethren Church for Nite at Night. Crews were set up in the front yard with our Little fire house and Tanker 2, Crews used an 1 3/4" hand line and the kids pulled the line to the house like they were putting out a fire. 230 kids went threw our display and 2 adults. We were there from 6:15 PM to 9:30 PM.

Crews Remove Tree From Vehicle
 
June 28th
20:57 hours Co#2 was dispatched for a tree on a vehicle at 207 East patrick Road. Rescue 2 arrived on scene under the Command of Assist 2-1 to find a single vehicle with a tree on it, no injuries. Crews removed the tree from the vehicle and roadway. Box in service at 21:36 hours.

Final Inspection On The New Rescue
 
June 24th, 25th & 26th
Bill Jurell, Travis Haak, Terry Reigle, Dave Angert & Mel Siegrist went to do the Finally inspection on the New Rescue 2 in Florida at E-One. It looks might impressive, The Rescue will be in PA on the week of July 2. It will be at our Station for the weekend of July 7 & 8 if everything goes as planned. Hope to have it in service by August. Great job by the Apparatus Committee!

Rescue Assist to Co#3
 
June 24th
12:53 hours Rescue 2 was dispatched to assist Co#3 (Lawn) with an accident with rollover just West of the Lawn Fire Station. Rescue 2 arrived on scene under the command of Deputy 2. Crews assisted in watching for fluids in the creek, car was removed without any leaks. Command 3 then placed us in service at 14:02 hours.

Engine and Rescue Due on Palmyra Job
 
June 23rd
10:26 hours Engine 2, Rescue 2 were dispatched for a working house fire on East Front Street in Palmyra. Engine 2 arrived on scene under the Command of Captain 2 and were assigned to assist Engine 1- 1 with interior attack and the rest of crew was assigned to check the exposure building to save a cat and was successful. Rescue 2 crew then went to the exposure building side B for defensive mode. Deputy 2 assisted with track hoe operations. Co#2 was back in service at 15:12 hours.

Co#1 Stove Fire
 
June 20th
20:44 Hours Co #2 was dispatched for a working oven fire at 120 A West Main Street in Palmyra. Engine 2 arrived on scene, under command of Assist 2 (B Rhoads). Crews staged in man power pool. Deputy 2 (Brian Jurell) had man power pool officer. Engine crew assisted with a PPV fan to side A. LT 2-1 enter building with the MSA Orion to see if we get any readings. Crews found CO readings and PPV was started. Box in service at 21:29 hours.

County Convention
 
June 16th
Today members traveled to Richland Co#33 for Lebanon County Convention. Crews took the new tanker and soon to be replaced rescue. A great time was had by all. Thanks to Co#33 for the great time.

Investigation Inside
 
June 15th
21:00 hours Co#2 was dispatched for an investigation inside with a smell of smoke and alarms sounding at 424 Greystone Court. Chief 2 arrived on scene and set up Greystone Command, Chief 2 met with the home owner who advised her smoke alarms were going off and she smelled smoke. Chief 2 went inside with no alarms sounding and negative odors of smoke. Engine 2 arrived on scene and went inside to investigate with a Thermal Camera and Heat Gun. Crews did a walk threw with negative results. Engine 2-1 arrived on scene and staged at the hydrant with Engine 2, Truck 1 stage in front of the house, crews assisted the engine crew. Crews then came across a bad detector. Fire Police handled traffic control. Box was in service at 21:43 Hours

Possible Structure Fire
 
June 12th
19:37 hours Co#2 was dispatched for a possible structure fire at Lot # 7 in Palm City Trailer Park Chief 2 arrived on scene and set up Palm City Command. Chief 2 talked to the Home Owner who advised they were eating supper and the fan started to smoke. They said they had the fan put in last week, Chief 2 checked the ceiling to find it warm to the touch. Engine 2 arrived on scene and checked out the ceiling fan with the Argus. Assist 2 had interior command. Crews found reading of 160 to 170. Crews removed the ceiling fan. Truck 1 crew check the roof for extension with negative results. Rescue 2 arrived on scene and staged in manpower. Tanker 2 pulled to supply Engine 2. All other equipment staged on North Brandt Road. Fire Police handled traffic control. Cause was a screw in the motor was to long and shorted out, Command 2 placed the Box in service at 20:28 hours.

Crime Watch
 
June 11th
19:00 - 20:00 Hours Co#2 along with the South Londonderry Township Police Dept were at Country Squire Estates for a Crime Watch program. Crews set up displays, used the fire safety house and burn house. The children got to play with a 1 3/4 hand line. Everyone had a good time.

Dauphin County Convention
 
June 09th
Today members loaded up the Tanker and Engine 2-1 for Dauphin County Convention in Co#46 (Hummelstown). A great time was had by all. Thanks to Co#46 for the invite and FF Taz for the pictures.

Rescue Update
 
June 5th
Some updated pictures of the new rescue. Members Bill Jurell, Dave Angert, Travis Haak, Terry Reigle & Mel Seigrist will be going to Florida for finally inspection on June 24, 25 & 26.
