Training this evening was car fires with Mt Gretna (38). Crews were combined on Engine 2 and Engine 38, crews ran several scenarios. Tanker 2 and 38 provided water. Rescue 2 provided lighting. Crews used hose lines, ABC fire extinguishers, and Foam fire extinguishers.
13:09 On the 23rd Rescue 2 responded to a spill control at the intersection of Colebrook Rd. and Lawn Rd. Crews used dry all to soak up the spill and helped direct traffic. Once the scene was cleaned up crews returned to the station.
18:00 On the night of the 19th, Campbelltown held a training car fire. Crews practiced pulling hand lines and extinguishing the fire. It was a successful training night and it was great practice for our crew.
Training this evening was at the 2nd acquired structure with Mt Gretna (38). The first crew was primary search and rescue, using the smoke machine. The second crew was advancing the hose line to the fire. The third crew was secondary search and rescue. We completed three evolutions. Thanks again to the Mt Gretna Craft Brewery for the training structures.
Congratulations to Kris McNamara for completing his probie book and getting his black furnace in 3 months. Kris worked very hard and completed his Mods, Live Burn, and flashover at HACC.
