Engine 2 with 4 (Chief B Sell) and Tanker 2 (FF Hitz) responded to a small wildfire on Horseshoe Trail Lane. The crew pulled the 200 foot 1 3/4 line to extinguish.
Engine 2 with 6 (Chief B Sell) assisted Lawn (3) at a wildfire. Engine 2 staged at the end of the driveway and manpower went forward to assist in extinguishing the fire.
Training this evening was to critique the structure fire from Saturday. After that we did "run ins" in the Windermere development.
Saturday evening Station 2 was dispatched to a structure fire on Palmyra road. Engine 2 with 6 (Safety Ed), Tanker 2 with 2 (FF N Henry), Rescue 2 with 5 (FF Miller), Special Unit 2 as Fire Police (FP Rosbach) responded to fire showing on the B/C corner of a duplex. Station 2 was assisted by Wagon 1 (Palmyra), 3 (Lawn), Engines D48 (Hershey), 58 (Annville). Tower 1. Squad 58, (Cleona), 6 (Bellgrove). D Air 48. Lebanon County Fire Marshall. University EMS, Lawn EMS. Lebanon County EMA Dispatchers. Additional Thanks to our transfer company, Hummelstown Engine D-46. Damage was to the B side of the duplex. The D side had minor damage. Thanks to all.
Training this evening was vehicle extrication using a car under evolution. Crew members were not allowed to go in front of the barricades simulating a car under another vehicle that distance. Crews used the tunnel method to remove the truck lid, rear package tray and interior trim, and rear seat. Crews performed 2 scenarios. Great training on something that is not usually done on a normal vehicle extrication drill.
The 2 crew has updated and upgraded the rope rescue equipment on Rescue 2. Thanks all crew members that helped with the update.
The 2 crew has replaced the block cribbing and step chocks on Rescue 2. Thanks to Chief Sell for cutting the wood into proper lengths.
Station 2 was dispatched at 9:16 to a structure fire on Royal Road. Engine 2 with 4 (Safety Ed) responded and was instructed by Deputy Chief 2 (Br Sell) who was on scene to hit the hydrant on the corner by the house. Engine 2 crew pulled a line to the garage. Tower 1 arrived and did search, roof vent and removed the 3 overhead garage doors. 2 Crew was assisted by Fire Police Special Unit 2. Engines 58, 14-1, Lanc 74-1, Daup 46. Truck Daup 48. Rescue 58. Air Daup 48. Pa State police Fire Marshall. Engine 2 was in service 4 hours and 45 minutes. A great knock by Engine 2 and Tower 1 crews to keep fire damage to the garage.
